Chinese language Course for Adult

 

Basic Chinese Course (1 year)
Course Standard

Introductory course in basic Mandarin.
Through rigorous training once a week, 2 hours each time, and totally 96 hours throughout the year, students are going to develop a basic understanding of standard Mandarin Chinese. Making student to understand Chinese culture through language learning, and meet their needs of learning Chinese in daily life and career development.

Course feature

2. Lead students to learn in a planned, systematic way to achieve their learning ideals.

3. Avoid taking introduction course repeatedly. And avoid stagnation in learning.

 

Course objective and content

A. 32 hours course for beginners

1. Quickly master Chinese Pinyin pronunciation and literacy. Be proficient in learning Chinese 3500 words in beginning level and advanced level, including pronunciation, comprehension and the use of the word. Let students master pinyin within the first 10 hours.

2. Enter the stage of recognizing Chinese characters and deep memory as early as possible. Chinese characters includes the characters used in work and daily life. Writing and identification of 20 words per day. Understand the meaning of "beautiful Chinese characters", and fully understand each character from its sound, shape and meaning. Improve the willingness of learning Chinese characters.

3. Provide more interesting topics for communication. Practical use of Chinese in daily life and at work. Appy the characters and phrases learned to construct 300 basic sentences, 100 sentences for work and 100 sentences for cultural exchange. Making the communication carry more cultural elements.

B32 hours for Intermediate course

1. Intensive training for character learning. Grasp the ability to read and write Chinese characters, grasp the laws of Chinese phonetic changes simultaneously with written and spoken language. Make sure students can pronounce words and phrases with the correct tone and intonation. Cultivate language sense for students.

2. Intensive training for phrases learning: learn 5000 phrases from 4 levels (easy to difficult). Including intensive training for Essay reading and Chinese character writing.

3. Practical use of Chinese language: Strengthen the overall use of Chinese. Master 10 communication scenes and topics: (1) Regional geography and culture (2) National ethnic culture (3) Family (4) Social environment (5) Children's education in various countries (6) Introduce your job (7) Communication in work place (8) Translation of management research (9) Discuss future work (10) Summary of reading, writing and oral communication in Chinese learning.

C) 32 hours for advanced course

1. Continue to accumulate vocabulary: master 8800 vocabularies for 4 levels in daily life (easy to difficult).

1.1 Strengthen the practical use of Chinese, and master 5 cultural scenes:

(1) World geography and culture

(2) Introduce education systems in different countries

(3) Introduce culture and history in the country of residence

(4) Introduce medical system in the country of residence

(5) Introduce environmental protection concept in the country of residence.

1.2 Improve expression skill and proficiency in Chinese:

1) Bilingual comprehension and translation

2) Job description translation

3) Managers at enterprise

4) Introduction of enterprise owner

5) Description of company culture

6) Description of company mission

3. Improve their language ability in discussing world current affair. And make use of internet to improve their reading comprehension capability

4. Strengthen the ability of short essays and official documents writing.

Intermediate Chinese Course (1 year)

Course Standard
As an advanced course, a rigorous training schedule will be provided to students .Once a week, 2 hours each time, and 96 hours throughout the year, students are required to have a basic understanding of standard Mandarin and standardized Chinese, and to lay a solid foundation in listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Course feature

(1)Attach great importance to the complete design of advanced courses and verify the effective learning outcomes.

(2)Cultivate the self-learning capability and achieve the objective to use Chinese in work place

(3)Progress into acceleration phase: master the language used in cross-culture life and job.

Course objective and content

(1) Through continuous orthographic training, phonetic analysis, and contextual dialogue, students will be able to master the standard pronunciation and be proficient in using standardized vocabulary to achieve accurate and appropriate spoken Chinese. Master the 3500 Chinese characters, 8800 words required in HSK

(2)Intensive training on grammar. Explain and compare different culture. Correct use of grammatical rules, focusing on standard and fluent written language writing

(3)Interpreting Chinese culture and Social phenomenon. Learn 50 pieces of classic Chinese poetry and prose, developing in-depth understanding of the cultural essence of Chinese characters.

Advanced Chinese Course (1 year)

Course standard

As the advanced extension course, rigorous training will be provided to students. Once a week, 2 hours each time, and 96 hours throughout the year. Students are required to reach level 6-8 in the Chinese proficiency test in listening, speaking, reading and writing. Prepare for achieving excellent results in the national Putonghua proficiency test.

Course feature

(2)Verify their self-learning ability of written Chinese and help students use Chinese language in working environment.

(3)Learning traditional Chinese culture and history.

(4)Use Chinese to communicate and negotiate in their working environment

Course objective and content

(1)Master standard pronunciation, correct tone and intonation of Mandarin. Use Mandarin fluently, freely and proficiently in a variety of situations and tasks. Proficient in 3500 Chinese characters and 8800 vocabularies in HSK

(2)Study 50 ancient prose and poems and 50 modern and contemporary Chinese literature. Learn to use vocabulary appropriately and express rich rhetoric. Master and use Chinese grammar regularly.

(3)Master the communication points and cultural exchange topics in business environment.

(4)Master the expression in their own professionals and be fluent in Chinese speech and talks.

Learning mode: Online+ offline practice

Beginner level: at least 2 hours per week; at least 1.5 hours each time; at least 0.5 hours per day.
Intermediate level: at least 3 hours per week; at least 1.5 hours each time; at least 1 hour per day.
Advanced level: at least 4 hours per week; at least 1 hour each time; at least 1 hour per day.

Tuition Fee:
The tuition fee is 32 hours per period. The tuition fee is 5% per year, and all tuition fees cannot be refunded.
Adult group courses are 3-6 people per group, 300 Hong Kong Dollars per person per hour. 150 Hong Kong Dollars every 30 minutes.
Adult one-to-one or for a group of 2 people, 600 Hong Kong Dollars per hour. 300 Hong Kong Dollars every 30 minutes.

Course Schedule

Self-organized group course has a fixed weekly schedule that can not be changed. Make-up lesson should be arranged within the same week. Courses cannot be postponed.
